This winter is the coldest in many years. Finally, ice covers the lakes generously. Also, lake Figur offers perfect conditions, as we saw during our last walk. Some people had fun skating. Some others played hockey on the ice.
Sunday we made a walk to Laxenburg Palace Gardens. I had my ice skating shoes with me; Anke, unfortunately, does not own a pair yet. The ice was not at all that nice as the one we saw at lake Figur. After some minutes on the ice, the ice started making strange drumming sounds. We decide to get off quickly. Yet, it seemed we were the only concerned ones.
But Laxenburg is also an excellent place for taking photos :) So we walked around and enjoyed the park before taking the bus back home.
